:) Hi, everyone. I'm the new 2003 Eclipse GTS user. I just bought it from individual, and starting to pay a lot of money to repair it. ;;

My car had been used by blonde lady, who never know how to maintain the car. Milege is only 22K, but it has couple of problems. And I need to ask you how I can repair them.

A/C - sometimes it's ok when I just start my engine. However, after a few minutes later, the green light blinks. And humid air comes in. It also smells sucks..
: I did not visit repair shop yet, but I suspect Air compressor. I will rather change it next year as summer's gone.

no they sentry keys what they called them are very expensive.evry key maker will stick it to you on those keys.the rotors are also expensive whenever you have to buy new ones and the labor will run high.i got mine done a few months back just cause i did not have time and it cost as much as you paid.as for the a/c it may be low on freon my car did this so i just had it purged and recharged.after that it stopped blinking the light.hang in there this are just small problems but costly if done by someone else.try to get a haynes bible or a chiltons book to help you out more on do it yourself.has the check for worn pads on the brakes and maybe a shock could be bad on the rear.also check for worn pads or drums if there are any.
i forgot to mention for the bad smell of the a/c replace the in cabin filter is behind the glove box.i'll look for the thread on it and post it up.

here it is.

The rotors are an extremely easy job to do yourself and pretty inexpensive. Just go to Autozone or something like that and get 4 new ones as well as pads for your car. The job should only take about 1hour or so to do and like I said it's really easy.

As for the A/C, start with a Freon recharge seeing as that's the most inexpensive place to start, then move on to the compressor and stuff.

the smell is mold on the evap. core. The a/c shuttin off is you're low on refrigerant and prolly have leak somewhere or the compressor is shot, like mine.

Cleaner

The evap cleaner, That stuff works wonders. Kinda difficult to install but then if you have any common sense just follow the directions. you'll prolly need two treatments. I swear by that stuff, used it in bunch of cars and its great.

P.S. Get the pro kit/ full kit with the install thing.
