Hello all,

The power steering on my 1999 Charoit has just failed, I can still steer the car but it is so heavy. I have checked the reservoir for fluid and that seems ok, is there anything else that I can check prior to taking it to my mechanic ? Thanks

You can check if the power steering drive belt is turning to operate the power steering pump as someone else turns the steering wheel for you as it could just be a broken or loose belt.
