Hi,

I have been looking into getting an FTO the last month or so and now understand all the different models and engines sizes etc that the FTO range has to offer.

I am only 20 years old and am looking to get a FTO for my 21st which isn't until April. Now because of my age and insurance cost, i have been really drawn to the GS model in range because of its 1.8 engine, so cheaper to insure and fuel.

Now what are really hard to find on the net are useful reviews of the GS model. What I am after is if anyone can tell me what the GS models are like to drive and most importantly compared to the other models in the range, particularly the GR model.

You see many GS models around which is why I am a little wary of.

Hope someone can help me, would be much appreciated.

Andy

Hi, I have a 1.8 GS and love it.... may not be as fast as the V6 MIVEC but it looks so good. In real world driving it is fine, how often can you really use 200 bhp?.. at 12 years old it can still out run my girlfriends 2002 Toyota MR2 roadster... another 1.8 but much newer...and lighter! If you use the tiptronic it has a fair turn of speed and if kept around the 6000 rpm mark feels quick. Am I a youngster... I wish.... but at 46 I still love the car. Indulge yourself and enjoy.
