I am currently in Afghanistan and i have a 97 mitsubishi eclipse gs. I am coming home in may and i want to spend a large amount on the car to make it faster. I know a little about cars but not enough to make a big difference. I put a crate motor in and the motor has about 30,000 miles on it. It is still the stock gs but it has less miles. I want to know what to do to make it fast but at the same time keep it under about 3g's. Thanks for the help

3k may be just enough to add a turbo.if you go witht the hahn racecraft kit.since the motor is fairly new then you should be ok on low psi.adding a turbo would be the one thing to make it fast and fun to drive.

with 3g you can piece together a nice one for about 1200. 500+ for upgrading suspension. and the rest you can spend on some decent rims and bolt on's. thats what i would do anyway

Agreed, thank you!

i have heard a lot about this JDM turbo kit for a grand http://www.advancedjdmparts.com/product.ph...&cat=301&page=1 but i would not try it unless you ask around first. If you did this you could spend some money on suspension and tires as well.

OR

You could bust out more for a hahns turbo kit, prolly safer alternative...
