hi! can anybody tell me if using a 93 RON premium is good enough not to cause any problems with the engine? currently im using a 95 RON premium unleaded. but with the oil price skyrocketing, im beginning to wonder if 93 is good. its cheaper than the 95. hoping for your reply. thnx.

hi lenard! i got my grandis in cainta. its color is pretty rare. its purple . its a little thirsty though . my best was at 12. the worst is 7. i live in antipolo so the 7km/l is excusable. no problem with the car so far. it also feels like your riding the grandis that is locally available. where do you plan to buy your car? btw, one word to describe this car; Great! hope to see you with the same unit. :)

hello lenard,

currently, im using the xcs gas from petron. i initially used v power from shell but the price made me move to xcs. i prefer using 95 ron because some of the posts here suggest using higher ron.

i bought mine in cainta, near makro. i didnt bother to go to subic (the place you want to buy for less price) because it's far. although some of my friends and relatives said that i can buy that car in subic for less than 400k PhP, with its color and condition (i managed to checked it out first with a trusted mechanic), its enough for me.

if you want to buy that car, make sure you have the original radio/ head unit. just buy another head unit if you want fm (like i did).

also, dont forget the mmcs cd. in this forum, you will see the importance of that cd. ( currently, im looking for that cd here in ph cause mine was not available )

hope i helped you with this info.. :)

hi dale,

thanks for the info on the fuel. I have checked most of the units, sadly non of them comes with the cd. is it ok if you could explain what it does? yes, most of the units that I have looked at still carries the orig. head unit. the one with the nav. buttons.

is your unit the one with the captain seats? those look more comfy, any other things to look out for? re: engine, and others?

I would check out that place on where you got your unit, coz the place where i scouted only had white units.

oh, do you have any idea what family of mitsu does it share its parts with? for future ref.

Thanks dale.

hi lenard!

i dont know the importance of the cd. just check the pinned topic mmcs. there, you can find some useful info about the cd. with the engine, just make sure it doesnt create any peculiar noise. mine is so silent that sometimes, i forgot to turn it off. mine was a 6 seater w/ 4 of them, captain seats. these seats are comfy but im planning to cover them in leather.

as with the parts. The dealer i went to said that the engine parts are the same with the galant, grandis (locally available) and other 4g64 models. the shocks, well, they are the same with the grandis here. just be very careful about the body since its imported. maybe, the parts are available in subic but ive never been there.

if i were you, find the color black are purple ( this color is so rare that ive only seen just one besides mine and that other one is, i think, for sale where ive bought).

hope to hear from you with positive results. :)
