I installed a double din navigation and dvd HU to my 2005 Mitsubishi Montero. It has a video input where you can plug a camera so you can view the rear when parking. According to the installation there is a green/white cable that i need to connect to the reverse ground of the shifter. I need a suggestion on the best way to hook this up. Somebody told me to tap it to the reverse light but doesnt the reverse light creates +12 volts and i guess what its looking for is the -12 volts.

Or if some who knows the wiring diagram under the shifter and can point me to the right cable to tap this ground so when you shift to reverse the monitor automatically switch to rear view camera.

any response is greatly appreciated.

The unit by the way is a Valor NVG-670W.

just incase you guys are also wondering ... the reverse wire that activates the reverse light is a red/green wire in a bundle of wires running next to the sub antenna wire. this can be found by removing the plastic door sill step cover on the 2nd row seat driver side. good luck
