i heard that if you lowered the car, it's best to change the suspension. because if the stock suspension is use with a lowered spring, it will damage the suspension in a year time, is it true?

Where did you get your mitsubishi lowering springs ? because I've been thinking of getting myself one but I still need to research more shops where I can save more.

Your struts internal valving is set for stock ride height. The lower springs shorten the stroke or the shock and wear out rather quickly. Suspension is the one thing not to be cheap with. You are better off going with a TEIN or MEGAN suspension. In my opinion, I would go with the Megan, thats what I have. They are adjustable coilover struts, with 32 points of dampening, so you can go from street to strip.

I went the cheaper route and definetly paid the price for it the thing is just to low in the front
I went with a Tokico Lowering kit which included Springs and non adjustable struts
I should have included some adjustable coil overs To get the alignment to come out I went with 1.5 degree camber kits I then had to take a 4" grinder and smooth out the ribbed reinforced section on the inner fender well plus I also radiused the the outer edge on the upper wishbone.

Yes it looks cool low.
and it corners exceptionally well.
But the ride isn't very forgiving, speed bumps, sharp driveway angles, become a problem, high narrow bumps will high center your car
Forget about automatic car washes you will get hung up on them

I recently had to change the oil pan because the place I work used plastic speed bumps and they were held down with spikes and one morning I pulled in at and angle and hit a loose spike and it ripped a hole in my pan.

i would look around. if you are looking for lowering springs tanabe nf210's provide a slight drop in ride height without sacrificing comfort. other people have chosen the df210's because they want a slightly lower ride height. really it is up to an individuals discretion.

I'm looking at getting KYB GR-2's for my 91 Eclipse GS. I want to replace the springs with aftermarkets as long as I'm doing the suspension, but I can't find any stock height aftermarket springs. From what you said, I should deffinitely NOT get springs that lower the car 1"? I don't need to lower my car, but the only aftermarket springs I can find are for lowering at least 1". Would you happen to know where I can find aftermarket springs that are stock height? Thanks!!

1" wont make a huge difference, its usually when you go 1.5"-2" that you start running into problems, your wheels will make a difference also.
Usually the tire places that also sell shocks have books on what is the ideal fit on a particular vehicle(aftermarket included).
