Well my worst and only ticket I got was in my 94 Dodge Dakota going 8 over the limit in a construction zone and passing a Super Trooper. Got a $135 ticket. Not that bad at all.

My best let off was when I was driving my 3000GT and I was going around 75 in a 45 and swerving across all 3 lanes twice, without blinkers. County pulls me over, so I turn on my dome light and hands on my steering wheel. He walks up, I roll my window down and first thing he says, "What year is your car?", in a nice and curious tone. I was shocked and paused for a second, I say, "98." We exchanged some words and told me to me to keep it down. :)

This is a funny story, not really a let off, well, it kinda is I guess. :P

I was in my 3000Gt again and going 90 in a 55 highway zone and was coming up to a bunch of slow moving cars, my lane was clear, so I continued going 90. Right when I started to pass the slow moving cars, I see a Super Trooper driving on the far right lane, I was on the far left. So I slammed on my brakes and got down to 60 with the other cars, but passed up the cop a bit. The Super Trooper didn't do anything, just kept driving. I kept going 60 and eventually starting gaining distance ahead of the cop and other cars. In Indiana, you can legally go 5mph over the limit and not get pulled over. Then, I look at my rear view mirror and noticed the cop speeding up a big amount, still in the far right lane, I was on the 2nd lane from the left now. I look back towards the road and about 10 seconds later, I take a look at my rear view mirror again and he's gone. I look to my right, and there he is, even with my car, starring at me with a disapproving and somewhat angered face, I guess. So I smile at him and he pulls off, and I just start laughing.

Good Times

Not really a let off, I "avoided" a cop once. It was 3am, doing about 110 in a 55with no other cars on the road. Then, in the distance a car pulls onto the highway coming towards me and the headlights looked like a cops crown vic. So, I was like ****, slowed down some and passed him at like 80 and yep it was the popo. So, I'm watchin in my rearview and he starts a Uturn in the median. I go down the next hill, take the offramp at 50 and duck onto the next sidestreet.

That was more than 9mos ago so I'm good. I was stupid then and I havn't gone more than 15 over since.

haha, wow. intense, can't tell me your heart didn't want to jump out of your chest there! but i can't condone your actions, slow it down and never run from the law, in all reality (most of the time) it just makes it worse.

Yeah, like I said I was stupid. But the end justifies the means. If I woulda gotten pulled, I wouldn't have been able to drive for like ever, no car, grounded big time, tickets! So, I made my decision and luckily it worked out.

You think I don't know that. I almost poopied myself. At least he didn't turn his lights on(that I saw). So, I guess it couldn't be considered evasion.

edit:no cursing

I have never been let off... ever. When I get pulled over, about 3 times a year, I don't get let off.

Thank god for the ticket fixing lawyer.

Passing on the right is not against the law in any state. It is just frowned upon.

whenever I get into big tickets, I flash the cop with my international DL and my foreign passport. Ofcourse then I have to struggle with them, that I didnt have enough time to get a local DL and all the time they send me to court. Those points I get on international DL are "virtual" and never affected my insurance and my NJ, IL drivers licences.
