yeah its good to know people, lol, my mom wouldn't have said a danm thing, (unless she was helping the cops) but it used to be all good, like half the force in my home town (4) went to my church and i was the youth leader so i could'= practicly get away with murder! i got pulled over quite a bit for like 10 or so over and they'd be like "oh hey mike. you should slow it down" but then i moved to FL and i don't know anybody so now i have to drive the speed limit......LAME

Worst ticket was coming back from San Antonio the day I had bought my Talon. i was coming into a small town outside of SA, and I saw the sign stating the limit was 55, but apparently I missed the one for 45. On top of that, I was trying to downshift into 3rd from 4th, and I couldnt for the life of me get it in (new clutch, gotta love em). So im paying waaaaay to much attention to the clutch and not enough to the road/brakes. I come over a hill, feeling quite good that i got it into 3rd without hitting anything, and notice a cop car at the bottom. the instant i see em, the brake lights come on (apparently he had his car off) and i knew i was had. I slow down, and Im already pulling over when he flips his lights on. I on the side of the road, he comes over and does the usual routine. He tells me I was doing 64 in a 45. damn. I tell him that the car was new and that i was fiddling with the shifter instead of paying attention to the road. he obviously didnt believe me and asked for a sales reciept, which I had. He looked at it, and then went back to his car to write the ticket. as im sitting there, i realize that a Talon is a tad more conspicuous than a Galant. I make a mental note for the future. While im sitting there, ANOTHER cop pulls up. these guys have too much free time. this is where it gets good. the second cop rolls down his window, and this is how the conversation went:

"Where you goin boy?"

"Utopia."

"why?"

"because i live there."

he looks at my car, front to back, then eyes the faded "16 Valve DOHC" sticker behind the door.

"Wheeew. sixteen valve double overhead cam. thats a quick car. you be careful with that son." (as if i hadnt JUST gotten pulled over for speeding)

He says something to the first cop, who is now walking back to my window, then drives off. Apparently he just felt like harassing me.

the first cop tells me hes giving me a ticket for 54 in a 45, so that i can at least take defensive driving for the ticket. that was nice i guess. just before he leaves, he eyes my car front to back, and says "thats a hot car, drive careful now." From this little encounter, I have concluded 2 things:

1) No one in Bandera Tx has seen an Eagle Talon before
2) The talon attracts far more attention than the old Galant. Good with girls, bad with cops.

My best let-off was, not surprisingly, in the Galant. i got pulled over for going 51 in a 40. the interesting thing about this incident was, the cop asked for all my information, then turned to walk back to his motorcycle, and apparently changed his mind, turns back, and asks "whats your driving record look like?" I told him i didnt have any tickets, and that i had only gotten 2 warnings previously. He just nodded, and when he came back, he presented me with a warning, saying "slow down." yes sir.

haha, thats what I was thinking. like i said, i doubt either of those guys had ever seen a Talon before. yea, it looks quick enough, but the one i have isnt stunningly fast. im sure both of them saw that little sticker on the side and immediately assumed that it must be fast if its braggin about the engine like that. im sure it doesnt help that i was going 19mph over the limit either.

Well you know they want to make you feel good or completly confused.

I was washing my car at like midnight once at a coin op, and a cop rolled up and got out of his car starting looing at my car and I went on with my washing, he was still there and when the warning buzzer went off he popped some quarters into it and when I finished up, we had about a 15 minute convosation. Cool beans.

well we need to find a really really big hill, and ya know since I have no motor in my car right now I might win if you allow me to have some friends push at the beginning.

Ahh, the ultimate weight reduction, ;)

But seriously, you probably have so much power now, I might have to take the yellow f355 spyder just to keep up!

i hate driving my moms 07 malibu because everytime i get pulled over i get a ticket.. its like they think im rich or something... but really i drive beaters... when ever i get pulled over in one of them i always get let off no matter what...

i got pulled over twice now in my moms car and both times i have gotten tickets.. one was 81 in a 60 ($186) ticket by sp, the other was a 82 in a 60 ($206) sheriff.... i dont get it.. $20 jump? for 1 mph.. usually sheriffs like me because my uncle is one.. but i guess when your driving a newer car they dont like you as much..

in total i have been pulled over 40 times now.. the $206 was on saturday.. like 1 mile from my house. i have only been given 2 tickets and they where both on the same road. about 2 1/2 miles apart.

but still i cant hate the cop just because he was doing his job.. im just gonna go mess with his patrol car :)

i'm going to quote one of my favorite movies....
"STOP BREAKING THE LAW A$$HOLE!!!!"
haha, really though, come on 20 over i'd say i'd hook you up with a ticket too.
unless you got like C-cups on a 120 frame. then we'd talk a bit.
but really, you gotta know when you can speed and when you can't, (ie. environment/car/town....ect) you know what i mean. but good luck with the malibu.

and EMC, you really think that F355 has a shot? i said in my last post i have an air intake, just making sure you caught that. haha. where do you work to get these cars?

High Performance and Luxury car dealership. I have access to about 30,000 cars a week from dealer only auctions around the country, and about two hours away is the one of the best auction in the nation, the Manheim Crown Jewel. Let's just say about every one and half minutes 30 cars have been sold. It is like wall street with cars. I saw one of the first M6's be auctioned for 120k and a Lambo Gallardo drop top go for 260K and guys HAVE to pay cash. Its insane. Unfortunately not a whole lot of 3000's and I've only seen one Supra with like 150,000 miles. And I've come to the conclusion that all Eclipses prior to 2005 under $13000 are Auto, or have been in serious accidents. We also sell a butt load of Volvos. Unfortunately, I've gone back to school so I am only there part time if at all. I guess if I was to accurately describe my current position, it would be Auto Abuser and user of high speed internet hub. Ahh the joy of online courses and lack of high speed internet availability at my home.

On the way back from Reno, NV to Boise, ID, I was with a friend and we topped out our 1000cc bikes. Topped out for bikes says 189mph, but there is a 7%-10% correction you have to make, so I guess we were really doing 170. We rode that for a good 20/30 minutes and stopped at a gas station to fill up. We had a friend in a car behind us about 10 minutes, and we waited for him. When he showed up, he asked if we saw the cop that was chasing us... we both said, uhm... no? I guess the cop was following us in his Crown Vic, and just turned around after a minute or two. Thank God it wasn't one of their modded vettes that are designed to keep up w/ faster vehicles.

911 turbo cabriolet... obviously not new as they go for over 120.

Edit: oh yeah and we had an order for a friend that wanted a Lotus Elise, and about a year ago we had an Esprit. But we don't really keep them in inventory. But we can get them

yeah, i was looking at the esprit, and i like it a lot, not sure if i like it that much though, and does it come convertable? but i'm also a fan of the elise, but i'm assuming there's about as much room in those as an MR2 spyder. i've got a while to think about it, but if you could hit me with some pics, that would be great.
