I never get pulled over for the stupid shit I do... if I did I wouldn't be driving anymore... anyway:

Worst ticket City 80km/h in a 50km/h zone.
Highway got clocked at 150km/h and the guy gave me a ticket for doing 130km/h instead, I guess he was being nice.
Most annoying ticket I got was driving in a Bus Lane when I was going to college - that was a pissoff topped with 2 demerit points.

Drove home one time from city A to city B on highway X doing 200km/h almost the entire way home (with another couple vehicles) and never got pulled for that - haha!!

This is a funny one:

My first time in US in Ferndale, WA I got pulled over for missing a stop sign, driving without headlights on, almost entering I5 the wrong way, failure to signal:

So I get pulled over by one squad car, that was apparently following me, as I'm just getting to my hotel (Super 8). The guy pulls me over right in front of the lobby entrance.
Then another squad car cuts me off from the front, a ghost car drives right beside me and parks up ahead.
I'm nearly shitting my pants at this point thinking "what the FUCK did I do?!??!"
The officer came up and listed all these things I just have told you, then he goes "You guys are not from around here, are you?"
I go "no sir, we're from Canada"
Took my info, made me sweat for a few minutes, then gave my stuff back and let me off with a warning.
Yeah, it was quite humorous.

Ok so heres my question.... is there any difference btw Aggressive and reckless driving? Or just it just depend on the state on what they call it?

My opinion is that aggressive should be used for driving fast, skidding around turns, and braking hard. I think reckless should be used for people driving erratically and not considering the dangers to themselves or others, such as running through red lights and stop signs, stopping in a fucking intersection, cutting across three lanes of highway in one turn.

Yeah, i forgot to mention my BEST best letoff. I was pulled over by a cop in town that I literally knew all my life. I was doing somehting like 75 in a 50 zone and when asked why iwas going so fast I said "I was watching the road, not the speedo."

"Well, OK, but don't let it happen again and keep an eye on that thing." SCORE!

Can I steal that excuse? I like it, hope I never have to use it.

Okay, I wasn't actually driving when this happened, but I was a passenger. I had just gotten out of a really lame dance at college, and was going to head out to buffalo wild wings with some people I met there. It was about midnight. We all divvy up who all is riding with who, so everybody will have a ride to go there, because not all of us had our cars there, and we didn't want to have a huge caravan of like 20 cars, so we filled up most of the seats and cut down on the number of cars we were taking. Some of the people in my car were over 21, so we went to their dorms so they could grab their IDs, and no, the driver wasn't going to drink. There, we meet some kids who were supposed to have left, but opted to take their car because the car they were in wanted to leave right away, but one of the kids had to grab his ID. So him, and his buddy jump out of that car, run to his dorm, grab his ID, and we met them as they were walking out of the dorm to head to their own car. We stopped them, they explained what had happened, and one of the girls in my group says they should come with us, in the car we were going in, even though it only seats 5, and we already had 4 people who were going in it. So the girl grabs her ID, and the 6 of us pile into the car, and not 1/4 of a mile down the road, and state trooper pulls us over. The driver rolls down the window to be nice to the cop, who was a dick, because he sat in his nice warm car, letting us all freeze with the window open, for a good five minutes. It was like 20 degrees outside, and most of us weren't super warmly dressed, because we had the car packed, and figured we'd be in a heated car the whole time we were driving. So the cop finally gets out of his car, comes up to our car, sticks his head and flashlight into the car, shines his flashlight directly into everybody's eyes, one at a time, and the first thing he EVER says to us is "I smell beer". Which made us all bust out laughing, stupid, I know, because we had literally, just come from a college party, which was put on by the college, so it was dry, and there was no way any of us hadn't been drinking, because we hadn't had time. So we all say no, nobody has been drinking, explain to him how we just came from a college party, so we were all sober, and he asks if he searches the car, he won't find any alcohol, and we all say no and tell him he can go ahead and search our car. He takes all 6 of our IDs, and spends a good 20 minutes in his car checking our IDs, way too long in my opinion, even for 6, and I know it was 20 minutes, because it was stupidly cold, so I was watching the clock. So the cop comes back, hands the driver a written warning for having his left license plate light out, which, apparently, was his original reason for him pulling us over, and shoved our IDs in the drivers face, told him to fix the light, and have a nice day. What I find funny as hell about this letoff, is he never said anything about the 4 people in the back seat not wearing a seatbelt, and the fact that we had 6, in a car built for 5, which is illegal, along with not wearing a seatbelt.
P.S. The cop's excuse was bullshit, when we got back to school, we checked the license plate lights in the back of the car, and both worked just fine.

I don't know if anyone is still reading this thread. I'll revive it with this. I was lucky as h... to be alive, much less not getting a ticket.

Forgive me for a long post, but it's hard to know what to leave out.

I live in FL, but I used to train racehorses at the Meadowlands in NJ. I was on my way to a Dr appt, and running late. Speed limit 50, I'm going about 62. I pass a cop sitting on the side and let up in time to go by at about 52 or so. I run a couple of miles, and speed back up. About a minute later, there's a cop right behind me with the lights on.

I'm on a limited access highway with no parking lane, so I figure I'd better get off the highway and stop. I look in the rearview, make eye contact, and hand signal that I'm going to take the exit right in front of me. The cop punches his finger down; makes it real clear: stop NOW.

I stop the car and see three cop cars driving towards me. They're coming up the exit ramp the wrong way. UH-OH... I put up my hands (what else are you going to do?) and look to my left and back, and there's four more cars. The cops are all crouched down behind the cars with their guns out, pointed at me!

One of them says "put your hands up!" I said "they're already up, just come and get me." I have no clue what's going on, but I'm not going to mess around. They're all really nervous, and I figured that if I was coming out of this alive, someone had to be calm. They tell me to put my hands on the roof of the car.

They come over, open my door and order me out of the car. I had an old car then with just a lap belt, and it's still on. I tell them that I can't get out, I've got my seat belt on. I know that if I had dropped a hand to take off the belt, they would have opened up on me. Now I've got a handgun pointed at the back of my head from a foot away, the cops are already really freaked out and I can't follow orders.

I finally get one of them to release my belt (he kept trying to get it off by messing with the spring that coiled it up), and get out of the car. They frisk me, and then take my ID back to a car. I didn't even get cuffed, I'm just standing there behind my car with one of the cops while the locals drive by at 5 MPH checking me out.

I pull out the address for the Drs office and ask for directions. The cop says to hang on, and then the other one brings my ID back and explains things. He said that there had been an armed robbery and the get-away car was a gray car with FL plates. I matched that description, and came along at the wrong time. They gave me directions and let me go.

I got stopped twice more in the next 10 days, didn't get any tickets. It was the same sort of BS; I'm not doing anything wrong (wasn't even speeding for the next one, and was parked the last time). The other stories are a lot shorter, but I figure this post is long enough.

Got a ticket for "blue" headlights about 2 years ago now. It was f****n' $213! A friend of mine got in a wreck, was his fault, and his ticket was less than a hundred..... That's messed up. But, so far that's the only ticket I've gotten. Changed the HID's since then, got straight white ones now.

he said reckless driving is eradic behavior
