I honestly think that my 89 Galant GS attracts cops. I have had my only 2 speeding tickets in my life while driving this car. It must be the custom wheels and the tinted windows. The worst one was for 23 over. I had the stomach flu one week, and I was racing home from work because I was about to crap my pants (the urge didn't hit me until I was already driving). A cop was hiding behind a corner, and pulled me over. I told him my dilemma while trying to keep a straight face and he smiled, went back to his car, and had my ticket written out in under 5 minutes flat. What a ****. Sad thing was that he told me I was doing 18 over the speed limit, and he wrote my ticket for 23 over. I didn't realize this until after I had made it home and relieved myself.
I think I ended up paying about $200-$250 for it, but it didn't go on my driving record because I plead Nolo Contendere (it was my first speeding ticket).

thats not why it didn't go on your record, and i'm supprised it didn't. that frase means basicly (no contest) from what i understand. you plea that when you did something illegal (speed, run stop sign ect.) and others are involved, see if you plea guilty then the person you hurt or hit can get anything they want outa you cuz you already pleaded guilty so no need for any trial. but if you plea inosent on a charge that you deffenitly did, it all just gets worse. thats why that plea is avalable.

they probably just defered you ticket and moved on, saves tons of paperwork, (as that plea usually ends up in some type of trial)

thats my experience with it anyways.

Well ok, this is last friday night. Me and my gf were on the way back to her place (her parents were gone) and we have a rather large sum of alcohol for saturday because we have people coming over. We get on the backroads and its 50-55 and im doing 85-90, i notice a car is gaining on me... im thinking no way in hell... must be a cop i passed.. so I gun it to about 100-110 and as i go over this hill i see another police officer 200yards away parked x_X i slow down as fast as i can to about 85mph then back to 65 or so, the other cop catches up to me with the other one behind him.. and i turn to pull into her place, and they just pass by.

i was so relieved, and i had some of the best drunken "intercourse, making love" of my life that night.

(we are both under 21)

well, don't take this the wrong way please, but girls can get outa one so much better. just flash him a pretty look. or start to cry. should work everytime. unless your doing something outragous like 20 over, then your just screwed either way.

well;; today must have been my lucky day [not]

i must have jynxed myself or something =[

today i got pulled over for doing 87 in a 55mph highway [Route 295 if i may]

i sped past him & i was like oh ****!!! so i get over all the way to the right lane (the cop was at the "OFFICAL USE ONLY" turn thingy) and i see my exit 34a / 34 b

my **** could have took off @ 34A & most likely not have been caught. but i'm scared that i'm gonna get on a police chase or somethign whacky like that, so i decide to go toward my real exit 34B..like a minute later i see the lights going of behinde me as i'm goign down the ramp... and i'm like here we go....i pull over..and it's a state trooper and it's the 27th of novemeber [great for the end of the month quota filling up] and not to mention i'm wearign a damn winter jacket..no cleavage what so ever!! what the f is wrong with me. So i play the sweet and innocent role, and all he has to say is "you're too young to drive that fast, no one should really br driving that fast" yeah well he wasn't nice because i got my damned ticket.

and now i'm looking @ a $300 lawyer to get me out of this.

to make matters worse......i'm not done my provisional period for driving. Another few months to go... =[

Well thanks Officer..you made my month...next couple of months BROKE =[

why the lawyer? sounds like the ticket was perfectly legal? i don't see your angle on hiring one. i'd just take the ticket, take defencive driving course and move on, use the money for somehting usefull. 300 for the lawyer isn't going to get your outa the ticket, then add that 300 to the ticket price, the defencive driving class and your well over 500. just save the lawyer fee....

well, in montana, you do the crime, money doesn't buy you out of anything. (mostly cuz if it did the person you wronged would just beat your ****) but that doesn't apply here. i just don't see her angle. she was like 30 over, what do you plea to make it right.

not attacking you christina, just wondering how you plan to pull it off. :57:

well, the lawyer is pretty well known in my town, and he's helped my dad out of some **** and a few other people i know. The reason i'm getting him is because i'm still on my provisional license & it's a point ticket =[ so i have ot fight the points =\ or have my license suspended for a month i believe.

it's okay i understand =) , and my new plan is go to court...with out a lawyer see what they decide, if i can't get out of the points, then i go pay the lawyer who then comes in and he said will most likely get me out of all the points. I guess he has his way with the Cherry hill system. That's how i plan on pulling it off. Hopefully all goes well , money can go a long way..the lawyer got my boyfriend out of 5 points on his license and jailtime. so i'm crossin my fingers here!!!

You pay more money up front and sometimes the charge is changed to a lesser point ticket plus some other offense.

So instead of getting one 4 point ticket you get one 2 point and two 0 point tickets, but you pay out the ****, but your insurance doesn't skyrocket.

so let me guess, the cop is like, if you pay 200 up front i'll drop the ticket charges to a lower charge?

so then he goes back to his vehicle, writes you a small ticket, then puts 200dollars into his pocket.

did i get that right?

No, that will put you in jail. Bribing a law enforcement officer is baaaaddd

You take the ticket. Go to court, talk to the prosecutor, and then read my last post.

i see. i've been asked to pay for a ticket up front before so i figured thats about what would have happened. up until about 10 years a go you could give a cop a 50 and he'd follow you home (after getting pulled over for drunk driving) ha, nothing like the good old days anymore.
