My 1995 V6 TS Magna has coolant leaking onto the top of the oil filter housing.
I was not able to determine the source of the leak but I am concerned it could be the waterpump? Can anybody advise if it is likely to be the waterpump and what the costs could be?

Yes, thats where it comes out from the water pump. It runs down on the angle along the top op a ridge and finishes up on the oil filter.

Sorry for the bad news.

new timing belt and full water pump

takes about 3 -4 hours diy

link water pump etc down the page a bit
I found some short cuts

http://www.mitsubishiclubaustralia.com/for...opic.php?t=1679]

hardest part is undoing the timng belt pully nut

this is a longer way to do the job

Hi Rob, thanks for confirming my worst fear, it seems the car may not be worth repairing and time to update.

Cheers

Peter.

Dirty Hands, thanks also for your diagnosis, it seems like it's more work than the car is probably worth?

Cheers

Peter.
