QUOTE(Lewiman06 @ Mar 30 2008, 03:20 PM) i thought they were above 9 sec 0-60. more HP then the previous lancers but way heavier. they were (magizine article) bashing on the fact that even some mini vans have better times.
i'm not bashing at all just writing a few things i've seen.
A lot of the test drives were done with a CVT which is much slower then the manual.

I have the Road race motorsports ram air intake and tsudo stainless exhaust just waiting for dyno time but when i installed both i really felt a difference the exhaust was quite restrictive.

QUOTE(jhusn @ Apr 6 2008, 10:33 PM) And does anyone have any thoughts on the Works drop in filter? I was thinking of getting that. Either that, or the CAI, but CAI is a bit expensive and I was wondering if the weight factor of the CAI piping would make any difference? here is a link for the Injen CAI results... http://injen.com/galleries/products/121820...35dynograph.jpg i'm still pretty green to the new lancers. but i know (in most cases), a CAI install would actually help u shed a couple of pounds. that big rubber hose and plastic box weighs probably twice as much as a CAI. i've never seen a stock airbox from an 08 lancer, but i've installed intakes on 4 different vehicles and in each case the intake was lighter. either way, ur not gonna notice the difference while driving. maybe with a trunk full of speakers and a fat chick in the passenger seat. weight loss, in my opinion, is something for cars that are maxed out on mods and trying to shave 100'ths of a second off your times. i'm somewhat new to modding cars too so anyone more experienced feel free to correct me.

Here are some pics from the last dyno I did... just for fun. Forgive the crappy quality, taken with a cellphone.

QUOTE (rox @ Mar 27 2009, 09:28 PM) NY-09GTS: interested to see what these mods will do for ya. You probably will end up gaining more than I did. Hehe, shit after all this stuff I did I'm still nowhere close to what your stock is pulling anyways. I wish I would have waited for the 2.4L... It's starting to get warm here so I'm hoping to get the intake and a second dyno soon. Ya who would've known the 09 would have been the 2.4, I didn't know I just happened to wait long enough and the 09 came out. I almost got the 08, if I would have went to the dealer a month earlier. Did you ever consider trading in for an 09? They have been out for almost a year now, you might be able to get a deal on one. But either way, you got some nice gains here, money well spent.
