Hi There
Can you help me with this problem?
Last year i exported a 1997 Pajero 3.5L Petrol GDI from Japan to Bolivia.
Why? For us to use when we visit family.
On arrival of the Pajero in Bolivia it was transformed to left hand drive.
It was working ok for a while but developed the following problem:
The Pajero starts fine and idles normal, but when driving it cannot drive over 30kph or pass over 2000 rpm. When pressing the accelorator lightly it gives spurts of power like something is opening and closing. If you press the accelortor harder it doesnt give anymore power and sometimes stalls.
I have taken the Pajero to many mechanics over there 5 in total but they cant find anything wrong.
It has been on the diagnosis machine but know one can issolate the problem.
One mechanic took the fuel pump out and placed in another GDI Pajero and it worked fine.
I am back in New Zealand now and am trying to find some info here about a solution to send back there.
