Hello
I own a 2005 Outlander 2.4 AT.
I have an RPM cut and when I enter the RED zone in RPM the engeen cuts.
Is this something that all Automatic 2.4 outlander do?
Does anyone know if I can disable it and how?

The engine cut-off is to prevent engine damage and in air conditioned cars it cuts even lower to prevent the serpentine belt from jumping pulleys. I think automatic or manual have the same cut-off point. As for your last question I don't know if it can be bypassed.

Too bad :-(
I believe this engine is build for higher RPM. Especially when I manually change gear I wish I had this extra 500 so the next gear will come in with higher RPM

:liebe011:

I have a 2.0 manual version with airco and I can go to as much as I want in RPM...deep in the red zone..
