You'd need another 10k a year to insure the pile.

It'd be just as expensive as a z06 to insure.

Yes i have. I just feel like auto is so... not driving a car. Shifting is where a lot of skill in driving is (when we are talking sports cars, not your compact cars). Auto is having a computer do that for you, and i just really dislike that. Tiptronic is do-able, but i would rather have a clutch.

Sooner or later manual is a thing of the past. Going a bit off track here, but look whats starting to pop up now with Lexus Ls the car can part for you. Soon you don't have to drive at all, all controlled by a computer and who might be controlling that computer...... maybe its the government... you might guess where i might go with this. this is where i leave it at here for you guys.

Even $100,000+ cars are auto.

Ferrari's 360 comes in auto with paddles and its sick.

And sure there is skill involved with driving a stick, But I bet half of the people who think they can drive can't. Just because you can drive stick doesn't mean you know how to drive.

Stick vs auto with a jetta or an eclipse or even a 3000GT and I am choosing stick.

But If I want a drag car I'm picking an auto. A Human being will NEVER beat a worked auto.

I've said it once I'll say it again, the Supra is quicker and faster in Auto fashon.

The Quote Exotics unquote with an auto transmission, are not the same trannys that are thrown in the econo cars.

The GTR trans is Probably worth more then both my cars combined. The technology that was shoved in that thing is so extensive that it will make most peoples head spin.

When I am tearing down the straight at the track in the EVO at 150 + I want to get on the brakes, I don't want to have to worry about heel toeing and taking my hands off the wheel to shift.

In the Carrera GT or the Ferrari 360 I can literary Click the paddle the ECU rev matches and it allows me to enter the turn faster brake later and turn better.

The GTR is the same deal.

Driving a Tip in an Eclipse is NOTHING compared to the GTR Tranny.

It's supposed to be a very "different" car to drive. Because of its setup it is more like a controlled drift all of the time even though it's awd. When cornering if you give it throttle, the back come out and then more traction gets to the front forward wheel so that it pulls itself through. One of the guys at SCC, I think, drove it and wrote an article.

I'm far from convinced about it's drive train. Yes it delivered a mid 11 second run stock, but lets wait and see what pans out after a few runs and more testing.

Also - I hate it when people compare this to the Z06, or Porsche or whatever runs round the NR. Nobody knows FOR SURE what tyres were used, conditions etc. I honestly believe the true test is when they release the GT-R and they all hit the track for EVERYONE to see. :) I wish I could be there to see that.
