Can anybody help with my problem.

I have a 97 Carisma 1.6 GLXi, but i have no dashboard or clock lights. i have taken the display panel out and checked the bulbs, but they all seem to be ok, and not sure what else to do.

to lose all those lights at the same time would suggest a fuse is blown.check your fuse box located inside the car.lots if times using car phone chargers and other acc not designed for a cig lighter can short and blown the fuse.this is why more and more manufacturers are now equipping cars with acc sockets as well.also do not rely on the fuse cover to identify the correct fuse.there are times when a fuse will blow that appears unrelated to the items not working.test them all as it is easy to do with a test light.good hunting.

Mine did this for the first time a few weeks ago then later in the journey I noticed they were back on. When it did it again a few days ago I gave the dash a gentle blow around the ventilation dials (not really expending a result but it makes you feel better), they came back on again. Possibly a loose connection in this area. I haven't investigated further as now working. Might help just my experience.

As I asked another member how do you get at the clock light? I was told it was a major dismantling job so not worth doing. The light died some time ago and it's a nuisance I'd like to fix if it's not too much trouble.
Cheers
