so if you guys can help , it keeps the niece quite during the ride too which makes it easier to drive in peace. thnx

For safety man!!
There must be a signal from neutral/park position switch. Find that wire. Cut it. Drive and see. If the video comes... fine! If not, ground the cut wire going to the unit.
Now drive at 170 and have fun!
You will soon realize air bags, stability control, ABS,... all become meaningless...s

This has been an ongoing question I have seen a number of times on the forum. First off its not disabled when the car goes into drive its disabled when the car exceeds 4mphs. The speed is determined by the nav system. Since we all know the nav system is useless in our home areas (since in theory you know where you are going) you can put a toggle switch on the gps antana. Disable the antana and your dvd playing will work when driving since the car thinks its not moving. Note doing this does effect the gas consumption readings and things of that nature because the system thinks your consuming gas when the car is not in motion.

You can download an update disk from my website at the following location. Once you have downloaded the image burn the contents to a CD. And insert the CD into your MMC. It will prompt you for an update. Click yes. After it completes it will prompt again for an update click no and eject and your done.

ISO Disk Image can be found by visiting:
ATowns Outlander Page
or at the following site for the original mitsubishiforums.com

Note the page isnt completed yet but the download link for the CDDB Update and the In Motion DVD Patch both work fine.

Just burned it to a single image to make the process easier. The instructions page on the site includes credit to the creator of the image. Check the following forum for where the image came from Mitsubishiforums.com

Just wondering if anyone had tried this patch on an 09 Outlander?
What exactly does the software do? I am just wondering it I tried it would it set my unit back to an earlier version or I would somehow lose new features.

Thanks :)
