Hi! I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES with power door locks. Had bought it second had from a dealer who didn't give me any remote for keyless entry. Now I want to install keyless entry. Read here in bits a pieces that the keyless entry may already be present in a 02 Lancer ES and I just need to buy and train a remote. How do I determine if I have keyless entry in my car? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! :liebe011:

For those of you with a Lancer ES, are your exterior rear-view mirrors and exterior door handles painted the same color as your car? If they are, you should have keyless entry.

Attached is the programming instructions for the keyless entry remote. Basically you follow the instructions for "WHEN SPECIAL TOOL MB991529 IS USED". Basically MB991529 is a wire with a clip on the end (you insert the wire in plug 1 of the harness and attach the clip to a ground.
