your going to have a POS if you want to go w/ cheap parts. you might want to add a header(rpw equal length header) intake(injen, aem), exhaust. btw you can reflash your ecu, it's cheap and you'll notice some more power.

He's right.....i have a dodge stratus with the 4g64 motor and there is no way to go cheap with this ride.......straight pipe exhaust, RPW header, intake, would be the cheapest mods i can think of.......ECU aswell........im in the same boat as you are.

you would need a labtop, tactrix cable, and download the ecu flash program for free. i would personally take my car to someone who has knowledge about ecu flash unless you understand how to properly tune your car. there use to be a guy on club3g.com(go to club3g.com if you dont already have an account, theres alot of information regarding ecu flash) that would do the flash but i dont think he does it anymore

not quite sure if i'm in the right topic for this but oh well, who stays on topic here any ways.

how do you get your boost up, is that only a mod thing or is it something that you can tune?

i've got an MSD-6a is that helps or changes the situation in anyway.

i'm not quite sure how much of a difference the 3000gt and the eclipse are but i think the price ranges for the next few mods are pretty simular

headers -500
straight pipe exhaust (custom) -80
cold air intake -100 to 200
MSD -200
8 or 9mm spark plug wires -80

that should get you going in the right direction anyways.

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 46519. Also some of the forum sponsors usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.

Hey what do the #'s mean on the spark plug wires? Is it how thick they are? What affect does it have on the car?

Yes, the thicker the wire the more current can flow through. This gives a more powerfull and efficient spark. They say you can get better fuel economy with that to, but I never notice...
