Thanks for all the help in the past. Overall, the 91 VR4 runs like a dream.

The other day, the drivers side window would not open. Checked fuses, all okay.

What is the first step to fixing this?

the cables on the regulator probably broke, you'll have to remove the door panel and confirm and then buy a new regulator and replace. Just make sure not to screw up the alignment of the window.

Hi,

If the cable brakes the window will fall down most of the time. Check the switch and that power is going to and through the switch. The motor may have gone bad if when you push the down switch and there is power going to the motor use a test light if you don't know how to do this maybe it would be best to take it to someone.

Yes you have to take the door panel off to do this

Good luck

mine didn't I should have specified, the one that pulls the window down probably broke. the one that pulls it up may still be in tact so if you press down and push the window down it should go down, just no guarantee that it comes back up.
