I am from MA. I bought a 2009 Octane Blue Lancer GTS Automatic with sound and nav. package for $21,516 today before tax and other charges.

What do you think? Is this a good price?

I probably will get the rear mud guard, what else I should do to protect from paint chipping?

Really no point for rear mudguards since our cars are FWD, but w/e floats your boat. As far as price, i guess its good for everything on a 09 lancer.

I heard a lot of horror story about paint chipping on new lancer and some people on this forum said mudguards are helpful.

Yea but your rear tires don't really spit up anything since its a FWD (front wheel drive) so we need front mudguards if anything.

Wash your car then your paint wont chip because of the dirt. I paid 18000 for my 09 Lancer GTS with Sun and Sound package and navigation. Heres the catch I traded in a car for 5 grand so I basically paid 23000. I got it in Octane Blue with the CVT transmission, Im happy with the car but I wish I waited for the Ralliart.

0 down 0 trade $17,995, tax tag title.

It help to know how car sales men work.

Research the internets.
NEVER tell them you love the car.
NEVER take their first, or sometimes second offer.
ALWAYS be willing to walk away.

They will throw shiat loads of numbers at you, length of loan ect...talk a lot of jargon. Do not hand them anything (including the keys to your possible trade) because what ever they can do to keep you in in their office and pressure you into their terms they will do.

Hey All,

I'm looking to purchase an 09 GTS. I just need to know how much you guys paid out the door including tax.

I gave the dealer this thread and he said that some people got a good deal because there was no tax on the car. He says that in some states, people don't pay tax on automoibles, NH, FL etc..

Is this true?

I live in NJ and am looking to get the 09 GTS w/ navi and SS package for 20,500 OTD. Is that too low?

Is that price for a manual transmission or CVT? I'm waiting for the roto glow metallic to come out before I go get mine. Is it reasonable to go in and try to get one for $19,000 if I only want the sun and sound package on it?

I paid 18,950 OTD for a 2009 Rally Red GTS 5 Speed Manual, sun and sound, accessory package and a few little things I didn't want or need that came on the car. (rain deflectors, mud guards, sun roof deflector)

This pricing is brutal.

And I thought the Icelandic Lancer was expensive.
