I got my blue ES 5speed. For 17000 Out the door. NO trade and Im really luckey cause the car is paid off no payments. My grandparents paid with a check and i only had to give them 1000 dollars US. MY car does not have any extra. Seemed like a wastse of money i just wanted a good looking car. That gets good gas milage,5speed does. And it is really comfortable. And since its lighter than the gts and whells are lighter to. And the 5speed It seems faster than the cvt. I drove es and gts with auto and manual. The Es is a great buy to me. The only thing that i want from the gts is the suspension. I really like the look of the ES cause it is painted on the door handles and mirrors. And also has disc brakes and a little better suspension than the base. And They wanted 15000 for a 5 speed DE with no AC. And The GTs WAS 19500 out the door BUT that was for a 5speed and no navigation. So THE MID level looked good to me. And Yeah i know most people it seems has the gts But the ES is STill a fantastic ride.

I got mine for $22K out the door. No trade...cash deal.

I have the 2008 CVT GTS with all the options...

Here is what was included in my deal:

-Mud Guard set
-2 free oil changes
-Full wax detailing & re-clean the inside

Not bad I think.

Turns out....the parts guy tells me that only the rear mud guards will fit & the fronts won't. Will have to work something out with that.........

and that is the exact reason why I'm starting to think about exporting new lancers to europe.
my brother in Poland was quoted almost $35g's for a loaded one with 1.8L/143HP/ engine.
evolution is close to $80K at the dealer there. how about that?
If I only had that extra $36K to buy one evo and send it there....

Added rear spoiler for $450 (rip off - but my wife insisted - what can I say) to the above price.

Mine ended up costing me about $46K all in all.

I spent about $23K on the Lancer GTS (CVT with every option except leather and lowjack)...

and then another $23K I had to spend on a 08 VW Jetta SEL so I could get it back from my wife.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.
I found that many people in this forum are paying about 20 or 21K OTD for their GTS with CVT, S&S and navi. However, I've done some research on Cars.com and some other website and looking at the invoice price for GTS. The invoice price for a GTS with CVT S&S and navi is around 21.4K without tax and any other fee so it would be about 24K with all other fees. Isn't the invoice price is how much the dealer buy from the factory? How can you guys pay even lower than this. I'm going to the dealership very soon and I don't know what price I should expect for the lancer, 20K? or 24K? BTW, I live in Boston.

the dealer gets big discounts when they buy the cars from the factory since they dont buy just 1 or 2, they buy hundreds of them thats why they get it cheap. them saying its worth $2500-3500 more for a fully loaded is like the actual amount you'd have to pay if u get the basic model/trim and buy the navi, sound, and technology then add it yourselff.

if you go to kbb.com it will actually say that the price they give you is the base price that the dealer will offer but you can negotiate your way down.

remember you are not there to please the dealership, the dealership is there to please you so dont buy the car if you're not happy with the price.

I wish I could remember what my dad just told me the other day about this....

There is the window price

Invoice price

Hold back

Advertising

Employee Discount......

Maybe not in that exact order.....but pops was lQQking at another Vette & the print out he gets showed the price to be over $68K. Going to invoice lowed the price more, then going into the hold back....goes even deeper. They can then go into the advertising fees (doubtful, but they can) & then there were some other factors...but getting an employee price on the car would yeild a click over $10K off the car. YIKES!

When I was looking at the GTS originally, The one dealer said he would go lower than invoice & go into advertising & hold-back & all that jazz. Price would have been something like $17599 plus tax title...blah...blah...blah for a fully loaded CVT GTS. But of course the dealership jacked me around & couldn't come up with the car & just gave me the run around. So I went to another dealership & got 1 for $22K I also got 2 free oil changes & a set of rear mud flaps (fronts don't fit GTS's) & I also get a full detail inside & out when spring comes around. Right after the Chicago Auto Show came around....they had $500 coupons....so I could have gotten another $500 off....but I needed to get the car when I did & didn't want to wait. Probably could have beat the dealer up more on the price....but I was happy either way.
