Sounds like a good deal, man
It's hard to negotiate with sells here.
I've been to two different dealership and try to work on the price
but they are offering me like 21,000 without tax and fees
They're just so hard to deal with, and are not friendly at all
They told me its impossible to cut the price lower than 20k.....
Damm....I dont wanna pay too much and looks like an idi0t....

21k? thats the sticker price for a loaded gts on some dealers. no taxes and fees that price could end up way over 23k.

the only dealer in my area was about 2 hours away and they wouldnt give me any deal so i called the dealers in LA for pricing and what not and then flew 650 miles to finish negotiation and thats how i walked out the door with a fully loaded gts with cvt tranny for 20,500 thats including taxes and fees.

Best way to buy a car... Online... Cars.com is a good site i sent out all the information for the make, model, colour and packages I wanted to dealers around the area I wanted to deal with. In less then an hour I had 6 quotes... at that point I started bidding the car dealerships against each other. I didn't have to hassle with the annoying salesmen because it was online I responded at my leisure... I negotiated my price online (for well under invoice, when you deal online you get the fleet prices) and when I went to the dealership it took less then an hour for me to be driving off the lot in my car. also if you live in a small town you can search and get quotes from a much larger city (you'll almost always get better prices if Joe salesmen knows there are 8 other car dealerships with the same car) I live in Oklahoma there is like 2 or 3 Mitsubishi dealerships here. So I sent my specs to Dallas... It was worth the 5 hour drive to save more than 3k. Well that's my two cents about it anyway.

I bought my 08 lancer ES today. Payed $16020, and got them to throw in the bluetooth hands free, for free. This was my first time buying a car, and so far I love it.

whats up everyone, Just joined and just purchased a 2008 Lancer ES with the cvt, it has the sun and sound, plus I added the spoiler and side panel thing so it looks just like a gts.(except for rims) also added tinted windows. msrp was like $20200++, I paid $16,700 out the door. I think I did pretty good, however now I just hope I don't have a lemon like some others have.

I also plan on waxing the car today to help the cheap paint issue. Hopefully this will stop the majority of paint chips.

This info was very useful.
I bought Yesterday: 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS with Sun and Sound Package, Alloy Fuel Door, (CVT) Transmission In a Graphite Gray. I wanted manual but they are far and few between, 18,999 before tax. was able to talk them down from 23,500 but it took about 2 1/2 hours to get it down, and also was about to walk out.

I talked to 3 other mitsubishi dealers before leaving this one with a car I live in So Cal. This car is hot, I'm very satisfied.
I was told the FAST key system that each key was $500 to be replaced, WOW. Better not loose those keys.

Goat,

I ended up paying..... 17800 OUT the door, this included tax, plate transfer, docking fee (they had to pick it up from another dealer for me to get what i wanted) It is a 08 Es 5spd in graphite grey with the sun and sound package. The window sticker said 18250 before tax. I used the 1k rebate and after tax they worked with me a little on the price, im happy with it. I have all of the gts extensions(bumper/sides) on the way including the spoiler and in total costed me less than 8 hundred. My dad works at a body shop so we are going to install it and it will look like the 09 es sport with sun and sound package for a grand total of about 18500. I see some people got some wicked deals on here, i tried my hardest. I payed a fair price i think.
