Im to scared to do it :P ! but i would recommened going light as possible maybe 50% i think that would look good on the tail lights. as far as head lights i would leave them alone because they will make a removable cover for those i would think pretty soon, if you want to stay legal. Another idea im going to try is tinting the reflectors in the rear! try and it would be easy to remove and to do yourself.

have you debadged your GTS?

I did!

Hey for the Rear tail lights.. The lights that are in the trunk door, those are covered by the grey whatever it is. I'm not sure at all. but there are just push pins in that? If i pop them out will that break them or is there a way to move them so i can get at that part of the tail light and just pop the cover back on without buying new push pins?

I talked a couple of cops about how they view tinted tail/headlights. They basically told me if they were checking for something like that or noticed it they would look first of all on how much light is still being reflected if a light source is being shined at the lights. So i.e. when the vehicle is parked in a dark place are the lights are going to reflect. The other thing they would be looking at is how much light can get through the light source within the light (that one is pretty obvious).

I was actually thinking about getting it done, but I think that a safer way to go would be to get covers for them, that way at least if they're really dark or too dark you can remove them at night or something to that extent.

okay thanks for the ideas...reg window tint WILL work i tried and it worked but im not a pro so it had creases and bubbles and looked btr stock then tinted w/bubbles...soooooo i guess im just gonna have to wait for the covers... :( SOME ONE HURRY AND MAKE SOME F**&^^&*KCIN COVERS! lol

oh and thanks for the info about the cops rox

i may try and tint them again i still have quite a bit of tint left and plenty of time so ill prolly give it another shot cuz it looked really hot on the car from a distance but when you got close you could see the imperfections...if anyone has pics of theirs (headlights or tail lights) they can post pics here if they want id like to see what diff tint percents look like on the car..im trying 20% lol

tinting headlights and taillights are one of the most ridiculous "mods" ever to hit the street.

yea it was all pretty simple to do and i like the way it turned out too the headlight tint isnt on anymore but everything else is i think im going to leave them and just wait for the removable covers

i was considering debadging i think im going to take off the dealer logo and the "mitsubishi" but i like the way the "lancer" looks so i think im going to leave that one and the emblem..

as for the fog lights i just took 1 screw out of the front popped the black plastic grill off that goes around them, put the tint on and got the bubbles out and put the black plastic grill back on...very simple..its been raining non-stop since i put everything on and its all holding up perfect

andd thats the RRM Magnaflow exhaust

as for the windows...my birthday is commin up so for that im getting my windows tinted and vinyl graphics done as well
