Street Customs is a new Discovery Channel show that follows around Pimp My Ride's old garage West Coast Customs.

Street Customs is a bit less silly and focuses more on the work than the cooky personalities of the producers favorite workers. I've only seen street customs once and its more of about custom orders than surprises like a monitors mounted to your catalytic converter.

I like them both.

Pimp my ride is a classic but its like Orange County Chopper, the first episodes were raw and every other word was bleeped, as the seasons progressed the attitude lightened and it got funnier and more jokes were tossed around. Hope Street Customs doesn't end up like another pimp my ride or orange county as there is no room on TV for another show like that, they need to stick to their game plan and not goof off.

i think the first show's of each was good. i also think they are starting to add to much drama, i'm pretty sure that much fighting wouldn't go on in a real shop with out some firing going on, at least not where i'm from. but hey they're making money so you can't tell them not to. i just think to much of TV is becoming reality, i deal with reality every day, i want to watch tv to get what my life can't provide (and that's not fighting and drama)

HI All , I have watched Street Customs and was REALLY disappointed with it.
More about the human dynamics of the staff than the cars. One episode had 30 minutes of 2 staff members arguing over a borrowed tool. Who gives a *** !?!
They don't show hardly anything at all about how the cars are built, just everyone arguing. If that's the way they work, there is no way I would ever get them to build my car. Obviously the producer is trying to get the same formula as American Chopper where you have the bad guy vs the good guys. But in this shop, EVERYONE is an **** !. I have lost count of how many people they have already sacked. Really , what a bunch of unlikable characters. They are all so immature. I don't know if they are hamming it up for the camera or what. But C'mon. Grow UP.

They only show like 5 minutes of the cars at the end of the episode.
They should rename the show to " The wacky adventures of West Coast"

Don't bother watching. A total waste of time.
