Finally got around to getting the WORKS springs installed. I'll definitely get around to taking better pics, once I get alignment done in a few days.

So far, so good. The humongous wheel gap is gone, but the drop isnt too excessive that I'll suffer in the winters here. The 18" wheels seem to fill the wells a lot better now.

Nice ride. I especially like the dual exhaust. I'm looking to do a dual exhaust like that with WORKS. How much did it cost you?

Thanks! No problems to report with the performance so far. I just wish the back of the base would remain stuck to my roof better.

KaranB......I love the way your car looks!

One of these days I am going to get around to buying the WORKS Pkg for the suspension like yours.

How about the likes & dislikes with it? Rides as good or worse than before?

Any problems bottoming out or hitting things since the front end is lower?
I know not by much....but it is still lower.

Thanks bro, appreciate the comments :)

For sure the car rides a lot better with the WORKS springs. Just feels way more planted and stable in the corners. Its a bit noisier when you go over bumps, so you have to watch for the big potholes...

Funny you mention, hitting things since the front is lower. I've yet to have any issues up until yesterday...

I was parking in a slot, and normally I'm very careful about leaving enough space from kerbs. Well this time I went too deep into the slot, and drove the front end over the kerb. I thought there would be enough clearance, and that it would hit the tire. But no :( And now I've got a bunch of scrapes on the underside of the front air dams. Fortunately I was only inching forward, so the scratches arent very deep. But still, I definitely learnt from that mistake and I hope other lowered Lancer owners are careful too!

When I first got my car....one of my favorite places to have the car washed at....
I couldn't drive my car through it. There is something on the under side of the car right before the fronty tires...looks like a small plastic lip on the underside.....that part was rubbing on the tracks when I tried driving it in. I didn't want to take any chances so I just backed out & washed it by hand.
I know I would never be able to have it washed anywhere if I dropped it....but that's o.k with me.
Plus the fact that our cars already have like 1 inch higher clearance over say the Honda or the Mazda....but I am still worried about the winters once I get this kit from WORKS in the future.
Glad to hear that it rides good...the bumping noise...that won't bother me....it'll go along with the rest of the road noise I already hear LOL!
Thanks for the response & your welcome.

Yeah you always gotta be extra alert and attentive once you get it lowered. Cant take any potholes and bumps for granted anymore :) Winter is going to be a whole another story...Considering sometimes our driveway gets piled up with a couple feet of snow. Its going to be interesting...

Just finished my foglight project. 3000K HID's from MobileHID (Thanks again Clifford!) with the rally yellow overlay from Extreme Vinyls (Thanks Sergio!), and a special thanks to freakingwilly, without whom this project would not have been as easy! They look a little greenish in the pics, but thats just due to my cheap ass camera distorting the colors. They look like a pretty deep yellow in person.

(click for fullsize)

I think my lowbeams were confusing the camera, so decided to take some with them off, in daylight. Hopefully these came out better.
