QUOTE (IsIAreIsMe @ Sep 17 2009, 08:13 PM) Lol wow, that really does make the car look that much better!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New to the forums, i joined because my friend suggested i join a mitsubishi forum rather than to ask him (350z owner) for questions that need answering. This will be the first car i ever worked on so i decided to start small with a Manaflow exhaust system and carbon fiber hood from carbon creations. I would LOVE to get the angel eyes, but i dont feel like being the first person to post that i melted my head lights in the oven, lol. I am a big car fan, and i hope to learn alot about cars while im here.

My mods start this week. Getting some graphics painted on the hood and spoiler and redoing the bumper from where it was hit. Going to paint the gas cap as well.

Number of downloads: 28sorry for bad picture quality... imo looks very good, it completes the rear of the car.

Number of downloads: 27This took many hours to wire in properly and install, but worth it. Hope you like it. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Rox: well the good thing is that if I don't want it... all I have to do is press a button and it turns off! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) To each his own. TooMas: I get a multi-color LED kit.... red, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, white. I like the blue, cuz it contrasts...

QUOTE (KaranB @ Jan 25 2008, 11:30 PM) Decided to change the highbeams tonight to Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9005. Thought I'd post a comparison if anyone was interested. Our stock highbeams are by Sylvania too but probably some generic base model judging by how much brighter the Ultra's are. Sure was one hell of a painful install. Its horribly cramped and that damn cap doesn't help either. Ended with several bleeding scraps on my hands bah. But probably the longest time was spent screwing and unscrewing the bulb, trying to get the aim right. http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/9661/photo992mu1.jpghttp://img244.imageshack.us/img244/9127/photo993md5.jpgi put in sylvania silverstar ultra in my drls and high beams they look great and yea same here bloody scrapes and an hour to screw them in but its worth it i think

I think the best mod, (in hot states) is the Felt from Tint Protector. Stupid tint scratches! I went through 3 front window tints before I found the felt. Now all has been well for almost two years. This is what my tint looked like after a month before I put the felt on.

I painted the front of my bumper matte black a few months ago and it's chipping like a b%^ch! Anyone else having the same problems? Did any of you guys use clearcoat? If so, could you post pics, I am interested to see how it's looks in comparison to my matte finish.

Well what I did, is I went to a body shop where they had a special bumper paint which is a bit flexible and very strong. I've had it for a almost a year and its holding up very well. Only one or two little chips/imperfections after I drove through a hail storm. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/gunsmilie.gif) I know a lot of people used plasti-dip. seems to work really well.

I just used regular black matte paint, had the chips filled, then multiple coats. The only problem is this cold weather, snow and excess highway driving have been chipping away at it. I wonder if plasti-dip is more weather/chip resistant? hmmmm...

It's survived through my winter here in pretty good shape. If you do go the Plasti-dip route, make sure you up more than 8 layers of even material. Any fewer and stones will eventually chip through. Since it cures to a rubber-like material, if you put enough layers on it, the rocks and salt will bounce right off without leaving a mark! Regards.
