you could always strip the paint and do it over. Did you use painters tape or regular masking tape. I tried it first with masking tape and it wasnt working well so I went and bought some blue painters tape to tape off the letters and mitsu logo

not bad at all for being your first paint job... it looks alright...

like the previous poster said, you can strip it and re-paint it again.
Factors to consider when you are going to paint:
surface - do you have to prep it or not
location - indoor or outdoor
temperature - if its too cold, it wont stick right

what type of paint did you use?

and definitely user blue painters tape, it is easy to use... i have used to paint the inside of my house, patio furniture, car parts and a couple of cars.

strip and repaint? i think the orange is fine, the silver part is coming off because i tried using some paint thinner to get rid of the orange on it :(.

if anything i would have to repaint the silver part ... ahh

btw i used regular masking tape.

You were saying that you thought your paint job wasnt that great so we suggested to retry and use blue painters tape. You can tape off the letters and emlem and it is easier to cut around them with the blue tape.

So far 5% tint on back windows, painted some plastic in the engine compartment, changed city lights to blue 194 bulbs (couldn't find LEDs, but oh well).

Ordered a vinyl strip for the front bumper to make it look more like the EVO, so that's going on whenever I get that.

Also considering some film covers for the head/tail lights as well as looking into HID kits or different bulbs for head/fog lights - to make em more blue.

My black vinal strip finally came in for the fornt bumper. It was "okay" to put on but it being my first time ever doing something like that I kind of made a few small mistakes - but you really have to look close to see them.

The only shitty thing is that I ordered if from Ebay and shipping from the US to Canada costed me over 50% of what I payed for the material!!!! 60 bucks for the material and 35 for shipping! ... So won't be doing that again......

And if you look closely at the picture, yes my rear door is busted... hit and run - still waiting for the parts to come in to get that fixed.

Thats a Rip off, I went to a local sign shop and got a piece for 12 bucks. When you put it on make sure you make a soap and water soultion, sort of like window tint, you spray it behind the vinyl and on the car, this gives you time to play with it and get all the bubbles out. thats what I did. Then I trimed up mine when it was on the car with an Xacto knife, I cut real light to only cut the vinyl

See mine was already precut, which doesn't mean I didn't need to do any cutting. I suppose I still tend to jump into things without proper research when I purchase things. If I could have gotten something cheap and just had to cut it myself I'd probably end up doing that instead. Oh well I'll know for next time :57:

I wanted to do my letters black. I started taping them but it was a bit of a pain so I just painted the whole thing. I'll probably take it off and just detail the letters in black with like a small roller or something.

That's strange that your paint peeled. What kind of paint did you use? I just used normal plastic paint, it seems to be okay (had it on for a while now and it's fine).
