Does anyone have any information or any sites where I can find about Mitsu Expos or Eagle Summit's that have been fitted with a turbo talon/eclipse/laser 4g63t engine?
I know the JDM RSRs (at least some of them) have the 2.0L turbo (4g63 I presume) and I think it would be AWESOME to have a quick awd 5spd expo or eagle summit - think anyone would expect to get smoked by one of these???
Please any info or opionions are welcome!! :D

I researched that swap heavily. DSMtalk.com had a lot of information on the subject but that site is dead now. Its not a very difficult swap, if you have the right 4g63t.

You can't use a 4g63 turbo engine from the early style, aka 1st generation DSM's, because they use a different mounting configuration. The RVR / Expo LRV / Colt Vista / Summit Wagon and 2nd generation DSM's share the same mounting configuration. One engine mount and three transmission mounts. I was going to get a wrecked 2nd gen eclipse gsx so I could have everything like the ecu, engine harness, downpipe. It has been done, someone on DSMtalk.com did the swap to a fullsize Expo but it wasn't very complicated so it didn't really get a lot of discussion. Do it. I just put a new W4A32 AWD transaxle and transfer case in my LRV so I don't have the money to do the swap. Good Luck.

My Ride

The engine came from a Galant (E35A). It's a 4G67, just a de-bored 4G63.

Cool Chariot. I'm just saying you can't swap a 4g63 from a 90-94 US market Mitsubishi Eclipse into an RVR. Those engine's use different engine mounts. But the 4g63's from 95-99 US Market Mitsuibshi Eclipse's are are mounted like the RVR.
