Hello,
How straight forward is it to change the front speakers of my 3-door CZ1 Colt, and can it be done without breaking anything?!

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Ive replace my HEAD and all four speakers in my colt.
here are some instructions I dont think I've missed anything off.

Remove the plastic triangle first. just pinch it and pull I broke one of the plastic clips but it still fits fine.

Lower the window.

There are 2 screws located at the bottom of the doors. (Posi-drive)

There is one screw behind the door release handle and one on the arm rest if you look closely you will see the covers. Again Posi-drive

After that there are the sill white pop clips that will break if forced too much all around the bottom and sides of the door card.

Push the door card up and it will release it is tight the first time.

you need to release the tweeter cable and the window cables then you will be able to remove the door card fully.

The speakers are fitted with a star head screw and then you can remove the factory fit speakers.

If you are putting in some speakers there are no pods avalible and you will need to cut and splice the speaker cables. there isn't a lot of cable there so dont make a mistake.

I had to fit Kenwood speakers as they were the only ones that fitted without catching the window with the magnet or stoping me from fitting the door card back on.

let me know if this helps mate.

Chewy
