My dad have bought a 51 plate space star and he told me to go and unlock the boot and when i went to do so the lock can turn through 360 degrees right the way around. You can still unlock and lock the boot but instead of stopping when its open or locked you can turn the key right the way around. The car has central locking is this normal or not

I have never heard of this.is it the "whole lock" that spins or just the part that holds the key?
