Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 3-February 05 Member No.: 5,895 Status: Location: texas Drives: 2000 eclipse rs	Im a noob and i actually dont have a car since im not 16 yet but im looking into a 2000 eclipse rs. its pretty much base and it was 70000 miles on it but it looks nice and i was wondering if $6000 was a good price for it and if these cars were real reliable and nice to drive and all that stuff. Any imput would be appreciated

Me Either Group: Moderator Emeritus Posts: 3,630 Joined: 8-October 04 Member No.: 1,887 Status: Location: Florence, South Carolina Drives: 2003 Red Eclipse GT	if you have the money to buy the car and turbo it, then get it. but if you dont have the money for a turbo, the car will be slow. you could look into getting a GT. you might want to check on insurance

Full Member Group: Members Posts: 96 Joined: 28-January 05 Member No.: 5,570 Status: Location: USA Drives: 2001 Eclipse RS	i have an rs and they are really reliable. i got my 2001 in 2003 with 58000 miles on it. and as eclipsedforutoo said, they are s l o w. its still a good first car, for anyone, i havent had any trouble with it yet. but if your looking for a stock car that fast,then go for the gt.

Member Group: Members Posts: 30 Joined: 21-August 05 Member No.: 14,423 Status: Location: usa Drives: 2000 eclipse gs 5-speed	i have a 2000 gs with 31,000 miles on it and i spent 9500 its in brand new condition, i dont think they are slow, i can pretty much keep up with my friends 2002 chevy extreme and it has magnaflow exhaust an intake and a superchip int it, just no have to drive them
