Ok boys and girls, check it for the 08 Lancer:

with the Super Stainless Exhaust System (Super SES):

with the CAI:

According to Injen, the CAI is 10 hp.

the Super SES is also 10 hp.

The CAI combine w/the Super SES on a Lancer CVT is about 18 h.p.

that seems like a loaded dyno comparison, but who knows. Anyone else notice the first run was 110F and the second was 95F? Thats enough to add a couple ponies alone

Those are some seriously high temperatures. If I wasn't so lazy I would look for the equation that shows the direct relation between temperature and hp.
Obviously the lower the temp the lower the hp.

That is for any car but especially those with maf sensors instead of speed density air charting. The hotter the air the less oxygen in it and lower the engine performance.

This is one of the reasons that stand alone fuel management systems are so advanced. The do not rely on ambient air temp to determine how much fuel to add.

Alright that is enough out of me.

here is the formula and the explanation of it...
"The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has established a test standard that helps standardized engine horsepower testing and results so that the variable effects of barometric pressure, altitude, and intake air temperatures do not bias the test results. The SAE J1349 test procedure includes an engine horsepower correction factor so that, for example, dyno readings taken at 3500 feet on a 40 degree day can be compared with dyno readings taken at sea level on a 77 degree day.

This correction factor is used for Normally Aspirated Engines, not forced induction engines. Once the correction factor is determined, it can be applied to the actual dyno readings so they can be adjusted back to simulate a test conducted at sea level, on a 77 degree day, with 1% humidity.

The SAE correction factor can be approximated using this equation:

CF = 1.18 * (29.235 / Bdo) * ((square root (To + 460) / 537) - 0.153)

where CF = the correction factor, Bdo = the dry ambient barometric pressure in inches of mercury (in/Hg), and To = the intake air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit."

im too lazy and do not want to calculate it..
