Ok so I'm replacing my old Rockford Fosgate head unit, which I installed myself with a Pioneer DEH-P2900MP. I connect the wiring accordingly only the sound coming from the speakers is not what it should be at all. The front right speaker isnt working at all (and instead the sound is coming from an aftermarket tweeter which was installed prior to me purchasing the car) When I try to balance left or right or fade back to front the sound is coming from the wrong speakers and when I leave bal and fade at 0 it sounds like the sound is coming from underwater. It seems to me the wiring is messed up somehow, perhaps in the wrong order. I tried troubleshooting by connecting two wires at a time to see if one speaker would work but it's all backwards then two. I have an amp and subwoofer I haven't even attempted to hook up yet either. I have no idea what might be wrong, I had no problems installing the previous unit, I'm wondering why this one is giving me so much trouble. Perhaps I need the original wiring color codes for my car so I can trace them back. I have a 2000 Mitsu Galant. Any ideas, suggestions?
