Hey, guys!

I'm looking at a 2001 mitsu galant es. here's some info: http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/car/491975381.html

the car seems to drive rather smooth, i liked it, but the radio requires some code(how much does it cost to get?) to work and there is a little knocking sound while driving sometimes, don't know what that might be. we'll take it to midas or firestone tomorrow to check it out.
anything specific to watch out for? any tips, help, etc. will be really appreciated.

Thank you,

BiG_V

The code is available for free. BUT you need the model number and serial number of the radio which is on the radio housing. You need to pull the radio (remove the trim by pulling on the roof of the junk tray below the radio --carefully) there are two screws or a lift-up set of tabs on either side of the radio. Get those, call a dealer give him those numbers and the VIN , provide proof of ownership and he will give you the codes.
