Men, help me!! I have my alternator completely disconnected. For the life of me, I can't find a hole big enough to remove the dog-gone thing. That is without doing some more major dis-assembly. I'm hoping I don't have to take a bunch of stuff apart to finish the job.
It probably didn't help that I was/am frustrated with the wife, and I'm broke, and my left index finger is bound with a plate and screws, and it hurts all day, and I can't bend it at the first joint, and it's colder polar bear's tail outside, and I don't have a garage, and I bought cheap tools, and I didn't want to be out there anyway. I know that's way too much info., but thanks for letting me vent. Also that might explain why, incase I missed something simple.

Thank anybody who can help. :gunsmilie: before I go postal in this house.

If it is the V6, and the alternator is looking down at the motor from in front of the car on the right side by the timing covers right behind (closer to the firewall) the radiator fans. Then you have to remove the fans, and I think you may have to push the radiator up. Just be careful not to bend fins. They bend really really easy.

Na. I have the 4-banger. I've only been back under the hood once since this thread started. Just to look. I think I can bring it up through the top with only minor disassembly. I need to do it before I go back under the knife next Wedesday. I'll be out of commission 4 a while then.

Thanks again

Okay. I went on and put my head in it again. It was as simple as I thought it would end up being. Had to loosen and move some brackets and then squeeze it out from the top.
