QUOTE(krnkimchi70 @ Dec 8 2007, 07:38 PM) i would get the 2008 Cadillac cts it has recieved rave reviews and ppl are loving it... the pop up nav, looks sexy as hell and overall its one of cadillacs best car Hmm never thought of the cts. Nice car. Base cts is 32k while base 350z is 27k. I have to go with the top of the line 350z nismo at $38k. I cannot believe that the evo x base price is 6 grand more than the top of the line 350z nismo package.

QUOTE(4G63Attack @ Dec 9 2007, 02:42 AM) Ever since Mitsubishi Pull out of WRC the Lancer Evolution became a pig. This new Lan-Evo is living in the shadow of the past great one of rallying. Ever since Evo 7, the Evo Series are not what it use to be. I agree with you to some degree. I feel that the Tommy Makken edition of the evo 6&7 were the best evos ever made. The 8 was sort of ugly and did not advance at performance at all. The evo 9 MR was not bad. I love the evo x for its advancements and looks but the price is crazy. The new price puts the evo in a class that it shouldn't be in. I am also not a huge fan of getting rid of the 4g63 which imo is arguably the best 4 cylinder ever made. I had one in a 1990 eclipse at it made 410 whp on stock internal. I don't see how the 4b11 could be better than the 4g63.

Ill agree with most of you on the EvoX. I know I won't be dropping my pennies on that, simply because the cost. I could take a GTS or perhaps a Ralliart and throw on an EvoX kit if I wanted it that bad. And as far as the suspension and such, I have plans to tweak and redefine a lot of that anyways, so as I said in my post the other day, I'm not too worried about what it's coming with besides basics, as I plan on changing it in big ways. I work a lot, and don't use my car for constant travel, so this is going to be my toy. I'll also agree that the Lancer's havent been the same in a couple gens, and to be honest I didn't care for the last one's at all. Seemed a bit ho-hum to me in way of styling. It was clean and simple, sure, but TOO clean and simple. I'll stick with a lower model, sink money in until it's the price of the EvoX, make it run better and say "Yeah, mine cost as much, but I put blood, sweat, and tears into it too."

$42K is for the first model thats coming out. Evo will have 3-4 models just like the Subaru. You will have an option to buy a model with all the bells and whistles, a medium model and a "barebones" model. Barebone model is going to be like the Subaru TR (Tuner Ready). It will have beefed up suspension, but will be short of all the "cool gauges", sunroof, power seats etc. Evo will have pretty much same setup starting at around $30-32K. Just wait about a year or so for all the models to come to US. Or.. Of course the route I usually take, buy the cheapest DE/ES model and build your own EVO for less than $30K when all said and done. Your most expensive part would be the AWD setup unless you leave it as FWD. Beef up the suspension, drop a turbo, Hydra stand alone management, a few gauges and exhaust - you'll be pushing more than EVO X to the wheels with a breathe.
