All right guys I have decided that I am going to be joining the FWD TT Crowd. Ill be turning my 3000 GT SL into a 3000GT SLuTT The "u" is for Uber cool ;)

I was asked when I made my decision, and well it all happened last week. I stumbled upon some manifolds for cheap (36 shipped) and decided if I won them I was converting. So I forgot all about them and lost to an S2000 got home read my email and it was final. I am giving my self about 11 months to get all the part I will need. See next post for the ongoing list.

So come November of 2008 I will be tearing into my motor and should have it up and running by spring.

Also, if you guys have any ideas or question let me know. I'll take all suggestions and I'll try my best to answer all questions. :57:

Eric's Part List

I am willing to pay top dollar for some parts, namely the turbos, and am looking for bargains on the rest. (bargains don't mean I am willing to buy beat up stuff, just stuff people are willing to let go of cheap.)

The list I've posted is not complete and some of the oil lines and a lot of the bolts and all of the gaskets I will be buying new. I'll add to the list if I need to.

Also just because it says 330 tt injectors doesn't mean you can't offer 450 high impedance injectors. If you have something that is close to what I need let me know.

Thanks to all!!! :)

All items in red I already have. I also posted a topic in the want section.

I could and should just buy the turbo motor and call it a day. But I want the experience. I plan on buying a 2001 or 2002 Porsche Boxer in 5 years and I plan to turbo charge that. All for shits and giggles.

I could use your injectors however, the NA motors send out a high impedance signal to the injectors. I can get a resistor pack and run low impedance injectors but if I don't have to I wont. but I probably will end up doing it. As in putting the resistor pack in and running DSM injectors.

I have a ton of misc. parts layin around I could help you out with.
Also I just finished a 97 SOHC to 1st gen twin turbo engine conversion. Make sure you are prepared to dedicate alot of time and money to the project. Let me know if you need help with anything. The DOHC conversion is much easier than the SOHC though. Just make sure you get a complete tt engine harness to start with.

Manifolds came in today. On the one (I believe the rear) ((the one that has the turbo sit on top)) there is a small metal squarish bracket that is missing. What is that? To cold for pictures now but if needed I'll post them.

Alright question, I have an intercooler core. Single in single out. But I have two turbos so can I fab a y pipe on the single in and then just run a pipe from the out to the throttle body?

yep, thats how its typically done. We run the two pipes from the turbos over through the fender just behind the a/c receiver/dryer where the stock drivers side ic piping would go through. Then y-them together in the fenderwell area and the 1 pipe routes right over to the front mount.

Is there a place where I can find this "Y" already made?

What are some typical core dimensions that are good?

Not unless you find a whole piping kit somewhere, the y-pipe has to be custom made. I do custom frount mount piping kits with a master fabricator/welder if your interested. We can do fully polished show quality kits with no visible couplers in the engine bay. I even go back through and grind down and polish the welds so they look like solid pipes up top.
Typical core sizes are like 12x24x4.

I was going to suggest you should go at least 13g, but too late. ;)

Good luck with the build.
