On another note the ISC (idle speed control) motors are bad on 8 out 10 3/S cars I see. I would test that, typically the high idle tends to be a combination of problems, ISC, ECU, and vacuum leaks.

hey there guys..long time no "post" this is my input.. I noticed you said that you're running a t-fitting to the waste gates then you're getting your boost pressure for them from your y-pipe.

the VR-4 has a solenoid for the waste gates.. And that solenoid runs a line to the TB.. Run the line from the waste gates to your blow off valve then another t-fitting to the throttle body and T your boost pressure line for your gauge off that.

Another thing...in order to read vacuum..you have to make sure that the nipple your gauge and blow off valve are relying on is open behind the throttle plate..otherwise it can't measure intake vacuum and you blow off valve won't operate right...

Are you recirculating your blow off valve?? Even though you're still "stock" on everything, if you're not recirculating, your MAF is still reading all that air.. that could be part of your idle problem.

Let me know if this helps.. If not, i suck, and you can burn me all you want..lol

laterzzzzzz

Ok so this is the update right before I actually drive the car.

Last night I was up until 3 almost 4 in the morning finishing up the car.

First thing first the caliper is going on the car. SO I swap the pads get the caliper on. Start the car pump 3 times and I have no pedal feel back...

I go back check everything start the car pump the pedal still no pressure.. I check the reservoir, its a little low so I put some fluid in guess I lost more then I though when the old caliper blew up on me. Open the bleeder stomp on the brake, shoot fluid about a 8 feet (good thing for me putting cardboard down) tighten the bleeder press the brake and I have better feed back then I did back when I bought the car.

SO off to the rest

I finished putting the front bumper on the headlights back in and then stupid me put the plastic surround for the passenger lamp on the ground... Do you know what dumbass me did? Yup stepped on them.

SO I spent some time with super glue and a heat gun. ANd then the heat gun explodes and all goes black...

Let me explain... The heat gun exploded... I'm not joking. Its working and then I hear a tick tick, I give it a little shake a huge blue flame shoots out the vent and then it blows the breaker... SO I fumble my way through the garage into the house down stairs in the boiler room find it fix it go back outside and toss the gun to the side The plastic will have to air dry. (I coulda made that more funny but I'm running on four hours of sleep)

So I go to put the plastic on the lamp and it interferes with the snake eye lens... so I take the bracket to the band saw and "modify it"

Then looking under my hood I notice hmm its a mess. SO I re route my vacuum lines zip tie stuff down and double check the bolts and for tools. ALL CLEAR AND THE HOOD IS DOWN Just have to open it again to put the battery booster seat under the battery and the tie down on and I'm gonna add a little oil before I drive it tonight.

I then put the new clips on for my side skirts pop them in and California dust the car.

Moving inside I clean out the back seat. And call it a night.

Stuff for tonight is to put the carpet panels back on the center console. Vacuum the floor from all the little crap that I dropped there while wiring the gauges and what not. Put the driver side wheel on lower the car enough to where I can get 166 FT/LBS on the axle nut and then go tune.

It should be a good picture of me getting that torque on the nut. TO get it off it took a 50 pound asphalt stamper slide over my ratchet to break it loose.

I'll also check the torque on my crank pulley

Haha yeah it was nice to have some power again.

First and foremost... if you are doing this conversion... BUY A TT ECU!!!!!

I was able to get a decent tune but I just don't feel comfortable and am purchasing a TT ECU. I also have my oil return lines leaking a fair amount on to my downpipe so I was smoke screening my chase vehicle.

Some quotes from last night:

"I just happy it goes" me

"Dude you need to pull over I'm getting sick I can't breath in here!" - my passenger. Between the smoke and looking down he was getting car sick.

"So I'm talking to your brother you know blah blah blah and then I look ahead and like, "Wasn't I susposed to be doing something"??? WHere the hell is Eric????" Driver of my scion who was following me in case I blew up.

"Yeah, you were going pretty slow and then out of nowhere I see your ass end dump and you disappear..... and then I got smoked out."

yea those oil lines are too fragile. Mine have a small leak as well. As soon as i get another car as a daily driver i've gotta do all the turbo lines and oil cooler lines.

VR-4 daily driver FTW :D
