Welded in my EGT bung and hooked up the manifold last night. Along with bored out an existing hole through my fire wall for my EGT and boost gauge wires to run through.... Great idea. The bit grabbed the throttle cable. So I need a new one. Which is a blessing in disguise because it had some broken strands any way.
All went well as I was putting the rear manifold on until the last bolt on the thing. I just couldn't get a wrench, ratchet, finger on it. So off came the rear motor mount bracket, which was a good thing as well as I had to swap out the rear mount for a solid...
3 HOURS LATER I'm still not done.
First the reamer bolt that goes through the mount was on like no other. I couldn't get a breaker bar in because of my hood I was in a slightly precarious position. Think motor in car 16 inches off the ground and me inside the engine bay with the motor.
SO I decided to take a chance with my broken 18 inch long ratchet. It doesn't like to stay in gear and likes to switch to neutral, as in it will freely spin both ways. (I broke it while fixing the car the first time on my driver side motor mount. It gave up and flew right through the window in the garage at a high rate of speed. (I probably had 50 or so FT/LBS on it.) Any way it held and bam the bolt came loose. Then the four holding the mount.
Well at this point the mount won't slide off. And I still have to take the bracket off to get to this bolt on the manifold. So I crawl under the engine. (there is an engine hoist and a jack holding the motor) ANd release the three bolts on the bottom of the bracket.. its not coming off. 20 minutes later I find the last bolt and off comes the bracket tight goes the manifold, on goes the mount on goes the three bottom bolts on the bracket and now I can't find the hole.
So knowing its almost two I decide to clean up and get to sleep as I have work today.
Picture of the manifold will be soon, Check tomorrow for some misc pics.

Update. I got the night off last night so it started at radio shack... they were useless and it annoys me to talk about it. So onto home Depot where I pick up some electrical connectors and then to McDonalds because I hadn't eaten yet and it was almost 530. 3 double cheese burgers later a 30 minute ride home and the sudden urge to puke (I kept it down by turning the AC on and putting the windows up) I made it home to start my wiring.
I put the battery in the car hooked it up and took my tester and found the wire in the C59 clip, tapped into that with a fused line and ran that to my center console.
Now the Autometer gauges have two things that need power. The actual gauge, and the light. The lights I am running off my dimmer switch... which I can't get to dim. So F that. But the wires are tapped so I left those powered by that. Ran the rest and when it was all done I turned the key and, the EGT and Wideband start up and the boost gauge says **** you Eric. so I take my tester I have no power check the splice into my pwr wire and I have nothing so I resplice and now its all good.
I even hooked up my air hose to the vac line and the gauge works, It doesn't snap, so I'm not incredibly pleased but maybe that will change when its getting its air from the engine instead of a bike pump. Either way the peak hold and warning lights work. About to call it a night and my wideband resets.
Then it resets again, and again, now its off and just makes a whirring noise. Well one of the wires going into the gauge is crap. Problem is the gauge can't be opened so I can't fix it. It will have to do for now. Just no one buy it when I sell it later.
so a majority of the gauge wiring is done. I have to go back and take the red cover off the boost gauge light... it makes it hard to read at night. I have to rewire my stereo ground. and Splice in my SAFC.
