2002 Mitsubishi Galant ES with 88K miles on it.

Horrible MPG. I think its supposed to get around 19-21, right now its getting around 15. It sucks. My dad thinks its the oxygen sensor thats causing it but I don't know about that.

What do you guys think? :liebe011:

I wonder the same, I have a 99 2.4L that gets bad gas mileage. Im assuming about 17mpg highway. Sucks for a 4cyl. engine...

an out of spec o2 sensor would throw a code. what kind of gas are you using? not just octane but what brand?

thats not top tier gas. we call it diamond shamrock here. try a few gallons of chevron or qt gas. chevron has techron which actually cleans injectors and lines. run a few tanks of that and then test fuel economy with it. i bet it will improve.
