So i've got a friend who's picking up an a4 1.8T with awd. All i hear out of his mouth is audi audi audi, vw, audi audi audi.... So i want to shut him up. He has 170 hp, and 166 ft lbs. I have 210 hp (93 tsi awd tuned a little), lighter and we both have awd. Anyhow, he claims he has a better awd system and he will win because his car is a "better make". Numbers are numbers... i think i will win on the strip or a course because i got then numbers, not the name. What do yall think?

i know audi's move. i've seen the 1.8t and i'm really not that impresses. now the s4 that my boy drives get the hell up and goes. you've got a good 40 HP on him. i don't see why you wouldn't win. best thing to do is race, and be confident, cuz i think you'll take him.

German power numbers are under rated. That audi is big and heavy but it freaking moves.

German has all sorts of electrical issues but their suspension, chasis, and motors rape the japs. 9 times out of 10.

If you win its because of your weight and weight alone.

Let us know.

On a side note.

Go drive a German car in the turns and then a Jap car. You will notice on the jap car the body want to slide off the chassis as where the German car stays planted. Im not talking about body roll im talking literately the body feels like it is going to slide off.

thats true, german cars are obviously engineered better, hence the price tag. but in a straight race with 40 more HP and less weight, i don't see how suspension or weight transfer would play a roll.

Just talking in general.

Also stating their Hp numbers are deceiving.

their v8 is smoking fast. buddie drives one. the the TT is a 1. 8, not a 2.7, unless there is 2 different models. i'd race the TT over the S4 (v8)

No, Audi VW has a 2.7 Twin turbo motor. They shove it in some of their cars, but it is rare. I know some of the A6s have them.
