I hace a 06 plate colt czt. When I unlock the car with the remote built into the ignition key the boot unlocks and opens itself everytime! Has anyone come across this and know the reason and how to rectify it? The car is still under warranty but the nearest dealer is miles away so if it is something simple I can sort it myself , Thanks

Hi there, I have a Colt CZC, an 07 plate and I have found the exact same problem! It only started about a month ago. I have also noticed that once Ive went and closed the boot, it locks, and the only way I can get it open is to lock the car, then unlock it again so that the boot pops open!

Im going to take it into my nearest Mitsubishi Dealership next week so I will let you know how I get on.

Im so glad someone else is experiencing the same. I was worried it was something I had done.

i think its a fault on the button release thats hidden if you run ur hand under edge of the boot u can feel it i think this is the fault sending a pulse signal to open when it should just be unlocking!!
