I have a spacewagon chariot which I imported it has been a great car but recently I have had a problem where the engine will not do more that tick over, even when you foot is full down on the accelerator. A friend of mine who is a mechanic found the engine was giving a code of P1012 but did not know what it means. Can anyone help, the car is not driveable at the moment.

i had this problem before.

it is the sensor for your vvt cam that is faulty and giving this error.

mine is a 2002 (N94W) model so the sensor is numbered 14846P - not 14846.

Anyway this number is NOT the Mitsubishi part number. I forgot the original part number. Once change, car was not sluggish anymore and more responsive. Cost me 100 Singapore Dollar.

Hope this help.Attached File  N94W_camshaft_position_sensor.BMP ( 57.83k ) Number of downloads: 98
