You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! You almost had me? Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried."
It would be cool if they knew what they were talking about in that movie

QUOTE(Spraguepsycho1 @ Dec 31 2007, 06:39 PM) What always cracks me up watchoing that movie is watching them shift 14 times (with a 5 speed trans) during what's supposedly a 1/4 mile drag race in 10 sec cars, and the 10 sec races taking 30-45 seconds start to finish lol. The race at the end was a joke too, any musclecar that leaves the line as hard as that Charger did, should be running in the 9's, and there's no way that other POS would have left the line just as hard (especially on low profile street tires with stiff lowering/handling springs lol). I like watching them for the comedy value though, mainly just because it's a car movie. My favorite car movie is Gumball Rally, I love watching the Shelby Cobra whoop on the Ferrari towards the end lol.
I was actually laughing during the movie when they started shifting like 50 times...like it was a Semi-truck they were driving...lol

Yes, let's double clutch and spend even more time in neutral in our race! Let's also pack giant heavy stereo systems and video game setups in our cars too! Then let's somehow build our car so the diamond plating (real light-weight there too) pops the bolts off which are holding it down (weld????) just because the intake manifold is too hot!
The movie is really fun, but yeah, about as accurate as a drunk guy at a toilet. However, the supra paul walker was driving, if it were really a 10 second car, could have kept up like that, considering all that time diesel spent spinning his tires doing a wheelie. I know it's just going to get people going, but don't underestimate a properly tuned and modded supra tt. Of course, he would probably have needed that nitrous at the end just to keep up. They might'a got that right.
