QUOTE(morphene99 @ Jul 22 2008, 07:51 AM)
Before i had my head shaved when i blew the head gasket, my performance on my car was so-so. And when i blew my head gasket , to say the least i was a little depressed. But, there was a golden ticket in there. When i took my head to get inspected and made sure it wasn't warped they shaved .08 of an inch off. Not because it was warped but because my father asked them too. I asked him why and hes said back in the 60's and 70's they would take brand new cars heads to engine shops and get this done because it adds HP and a certain amount of torque to your engine. It will very slightly change your compression ratio also. Now that my car has that done i could feel a difference throughout the power band. Its a lot quicker on acceleration and it feel like i can get to 100 mph faster. Then i added a air intake that my aunt fabricated for me. and my lil eclipse is a whole lot quicker than it was. So just a heads up, it will cost about $150.00 to get your head cleaned and inspected to make sure nothing needs replaced, and to get it surfaced and shaved. Thats sort of an inexpensive mod for you guys out there that dont have that turbo yet.

I am good at driving, im stage 2, and so is he, same boost and parts, but his car is so F***ing  torquey its unfair, im really dissapointed, iv wanted a gsx forever, and am being let down, this things not that fast, i dont know i hate how subarus are too quick i got my ass handed to me on the freeway, looked stock 02 wrx, but doubt it, any ways to SAFLEY increase the torque on one of these things? 1995 GSX
