Has anyone had any issues with a tapping noise at the base of the windshield where the cowl panel meets the glass? I've heard a small tapping every now and then since I purchased the car in September; But now that it's getting cold I hear it almost all of the time. I'm pretty sure the retainers need to be resecured, but I wanted to see if anyone else has been through a repair like this before I hit the good ole dealer.

I've heard something similar on mine. At one point it almost seemed to me like it could have been tiny ice buildup that moves around somewhere at the bottoms of the windshield, or something like that. Either way I never done anything about it, it actually doesn't happen too often.

Update: I was right. The retainers/ clips were loose and just needed to be resecured. Pretty simple fix, I must say. I was beginning to think I had something living in the car.

Good to know!
Becasue it keeps happening to me more often, and it's getting annoying.
I'll have to take a look.
