QUOTE(SixFeetDeep @ Jun 14 2008, 11:29 PM)
How about I start a new thread on this.....

" I got my a$$ handed to me by a _________________"
I was getting off of I-80 & making a right onto LaGrange Rd (Illinois, Tinley Park area)......just as the oncoming traffic got their green.......I had my car floored & kept it there......I noticed that the Silverado got on it hard @ the light coming at me. I kept on it up to about 80 & that guy passed me up like he was going at least close to 100.
I never thought he would catch me that quickly.....man.....I miss my old TrailSnoozer. Was just funny.......I had him by like 8 cars when they got the green & he walked me down in NO TIME! Yep....got my a$$ handed to me :P
At least he will be quicker to the gas pump as well. Even beating....yep Willy...you read right   BEATING..on my car....I still got 25+mpg's

I like how you post this assuming I'm going to read it... wait a minute...

...

Man you're good.

ANYWAYS, I really wouldn't call this getting my booty handed to me because the guy I was racing cheated. Yeah, you heard right... CHEATED. The most low down thing dirty thing you could ever do in a race. The b-hole CUT ME OFF. I pulled up to a 2003ish Ford Mustang (plain, non-GT... he's in the left lane, I'm in the right) and as soon as the light turned green, he punches it. We Assyrians are hard headed, prideful people... so I drop it to manual and go right after him. Needless to say, I start catching up fairly quickly and just before I get to his bumper, he JUMPS into my lane. Right about here, my common sense kicks in and I lay off and let him go. The first street that came up, he exits out of the right lane, jumps to the left and makes a hard left turn... coward.

The hilarious thing is that at the next red light, a 2007 Civic coupe pulls up and my buddy is riding shotgun. He looks at me and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Don't worry Willy, we saw the whole thing... that Mustang was an *explitive*."

On a completely separate occasion, I saw a black Civic Si hatchback with two different color low beams (one stock, the other with a blue tint). Obviously I stared because it was too funny NOT to look. The guy was with his GF (I assume) and I guess he though I was checking out his car, so as soon as the light turns green he punches it too... (why does everybody else START the races). I catch up and pass him with little difficulty (CAI + High RPM shifting = Win). After I passed him up, he slows down and quits. He ate a good 3 seconds of my emergency lights before I had to turn because I missed the street I needed to turn on :)

What have I learned from all this? One thing... this car LOOKS fast and attracts too much attention :(. Now I really wish I had the Evo X... and the salary to afford one :(

I think its funny when you are driving and not even look but glance for a second at someone in a civic and then BAM like that they want to race.

So i act like im going to and then they look stupid spinning wheels and flying down the road having to brake for the other cars on the road.
