Don't buy off ebay. If you get a pulley and it is not correctly balanced it will shred your motor. Imagine your pulley weighs .06 of an ounce more in a 2 DM section of your pulley. Now its fine at 200 RPMs adding stress at the 700 idle. Ruining the crank at 2500 RPM cruise...

Whats the redline on those eclipses? 7000?

I would suggest a NEW genuine Mitsubishi part. Or a reputable brand like UR.

you've got a pole

_____________

that has your rods attatched to it.

--I__I--I__I--

with pistons

O O O O
--I__I--I__I--

now the pole spins fast

the I and O's go up and down fast. It is balanced.

Now theres a pulley on the end of the pole

O O O O
--I__I--I__I--o
that spins fast

now imagine that looked like an oval. what would happen?

O O
O
-- I ___I O
__ I
I --

Thats a boom.

Find a bike hit the front rim with a hammer a couple times. now go find the biggest hill you can and report back.

This isn't an opinion its the truth. Anything that touches the crank that isn't in spec can destroy your motor.

Sort of like not having your tires speed balanced then driving on the autobahn. If you live your lucky.

he is exatly right. if u do put a unbalanced part on this u will kill ur engine in due time. thats why i never go none name brand on anything. sure u can find pulleys for a small amount of money. say 40 bucks. one they may not b unbalanced or they may b undrcut. which means ur groove for ur belt will not b deep enough and u will throw ur belt from time to time. my friend xperienced this first hand. until he got a unorthodox. go name brand weather is on ebay or not. aems are pretty good to man. name brand may be a lil more but thats because they dont sell junk for a quick buck. u pay for the name cause they made their name buy selling quality products. good luck man.

I wouldn't use those junk from Ebay. your just asking to say bye bye to your engine. if you really want something that is light and will not blow your engine then get this

machining a pulley to spec is crazy.

Find a roll of scotch tape, look at it, now turn it sideways and look how thick it is. Now cut that in half.

That is still to much to be off when dealing with your crank.

You still want that OBX $100 Pulley?

ur not takeing off the damper just the pulley which is made of heavy iron. new ones are made of alumiun. the choice is urs. mine has gave me no problems and ive had mine for over 25000 miles and my friend has had his for lil under 17k. thats not the one that i have though. u r right that one is alot skinnyer. and i deal with alot of good stores that list on ebay. u just have to read what u r buying and if they have a feedback less than 97% i dont deal with them. DONT BUY FROM PHONESTOREUSA. they sell refurbished and claim they r new. i know i bought 2. i buy alot from ebay. i also sell alot on ebay. My obx headers came from ebay and my friend bought his from a online store out of ebay and they r the same but i spent a 100 bucks less. i bought from a wholesaler. thats what u look for on ebay WHOLESALERS they have a larger quanity and can cut the price more than someone who only has 5-10 in stock. supply and demand. its all buisness. i buy my oil from one of my connects on ebay. i get syntec for only 11.73 for 5 quartz. u buy that at wal mart or auto zone and see what u pay. good luck once again. im just telling u my opion and everyone has one.
